I remember Sugar barking at a park ranger after he had tried but failed to give her the you-must-be-on-leash ticket. Sweet caninality indeed.

That was a very beautiful and moving tribute. Dogs are such wonderful creatures - they enrich our lives so much. It sounds like Sugar had a very happy and fulfilling life.

Sunnia and Mike, I am so sorry to hear about Sugar.

Mike, your tribute was wonderful. I soooo remember her love of water!

For someone who normally has a lot to say, I'm totally speechless at the moment. I think I'm still in shock.

Dear Sunnia & Mike-- I remember Sugar from BayGold gatherings years ago, with my golden girl, Gemma. Sugar and Sunnia already had a wonderful bond that was a delight to see. I am so sad to hear about her passing to the Rainbow Bridge. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May another wonderful golden light up your lives one day....

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful tribute to your special girl, Sugar. My husband and I just lost our beautiful boy, Willy, on August 16th at the tender age of seven. We know how difficult your loss is, but we believe the Bridge is a beaufitul place for all of our beloved furkids and they're watching over their families until we are all reunited. Hold Sugar's memories close to your heart -- at least no one can ever take those away.
With sincere sympathy,
Dawn, Dave

Mike,
We take our new dog Samson on that same walk all the time. It's a great walk for a dog and it sounds like Sugar was lucky to have people who would take her there so often.
By the way, a neighbor of mother-in-law's had ligament surgery for their dog as well and the dog has never been the same since. Unfortunately, she's not looking very good either.
Thank you for sharing your story.
Our deepest condolences.

What a wonderful tribute to a beautiful girl! Thank you for sharing Sugar's story! I hope in time the pain from the loss will be replaced with only the love you share. With deep sympathy.

I am so sorry to hear about Sugar. She seemed like a very sweet dog.
I too lost my golden Vinny in July (11yrs). It was devastating and it is only lately that I no longer feel that I have a weight on my chest and a hole in my heart. I miss him terribly and always will. My prayers and thoughts are with you in this difficult time.
