It's a great walk for a dog and it sounds like Sugar was lucky to have people who would take her there so often. By the way, a neighbor of mother-in-law's had ligament surgery for their dog as well and the dog has never been the same since. Unfortunately, she's not looking very good either. She seemed like a very sweet dog. I too lost my golden Vinny in July (11yrs). It was devastating and it is only lately that I no longer feel that I have a weight on my chest and a hole in my heart.
